Cadent wineCellar for iPad

Cadent iPad wineCellar provides a unique application for storing, viewing and retrieving information about your wine collection. It is based on Cadent wineCellar for the Mac and Windows.

You can sync up to 200 wines from Cadent wineCellar to the Cadent Cloud (account free). This acts as a backup of your collection and as a way to synchronize it between iPhones, iPads, and the desktop version of Cadent wineCellar.

Features include:

Focus on keeping a simple iPad-centric interface being compliant with interface guidelines.
Not restricted to pre-set keywords for fields. You can add your own entries in your own language.
Comments field where you can add your own notes.
View wines in groupings (by country, varietal, etc.). Groupings dynamically updated as wines added, deleted, or changed.
Ability to store photos of wine labels (from the photo library).
Program does not require an internet connection. Connection only required for syncing.
No limit to number of wines stored, however, performance will be affected by a large collection.
Can sync up to 200 wines to the cloud. This uses a secure connection (SSL). Account in cloud is free with no subscription fee. Purchase of desktop version increases this limit to 500 wines.
Flag wines you don't want to sync to the cloud.
Wines synchronized to the cloud can be synchronized to the desktop version of Cadent wineCellar, or can be accessed from the secure web site: https://www.cadentcomputing.com/cloud/

Cadent wineCellar provides a unique application for storing, viewing and retrieving information about your wine collection. This powerful program enables you to not only store and retrieve information about your collection, but to view your collection as a hierarchical chart, as a list, and as thumbnail pictures, all categorized through selectors chosen by you.

Introduced with version 2.0 is a new web service called "Cadent Cloud" which enables wineCellar to sync up to 500 wines to the cloud where they can be accessed using either a standard web site or a mobile device web site.

We have provided a sample database and screencasts (see sidebar) to guide you in exploring Cadent wineCellar. Use these tools to quickly learn the many features of our product. Enjoy.

Features in Cadent wineCellar include:

Three views of your wine information: thumbnail view, list view, and hierarchical browser view; each reflective of the other.
An interactive, hierarchical browser built from selectors chosen by you.
Ability to search and retrieve information using multiple selectors to narrow your search (e.g. Search by country, varietal AND vineyard).
Ability to store photos of wine labels in the database.
Can quickly generate a "buy list" for your next trip to the wine store.
Provides a way to quickly determine which wines are drinkable or have expired.
Stores your entire collection in a single file which is portable to other computers.
Ability to provide the location where each wine is stored.
Program does not require an internet connection.
With an internet connection, you can use a "Research" button to find more information on the web for any given wine.
Can store up to 2000 wine entries (100 during the 30-day trial).
Can sync up to 500 wines to the cloud over a secure connection.
Wines synchronized to the cloud can be accessed using either a standard web site or a mobile device web site. Both are secure https sites.

You can download a 30-day trial of wineCellar by clicking on the link in the sidebar. This trial is full-featured except it limits you to 100 wines in the database and you cannot sync to Cadent Cloiud.

Cadent monitorLite

Cadent monitorLite is a process/application monitoring utility which currently runs as a universal application (Intel and PPC) under MacOS 10.4 and 10.5. monitorLite offers these features:

Represents the process/application information as a hierarchical graph rather than a flat list.
Uses a small amount of CPU.
Provides a powerful “snapshot” feature allowing you to see what is, and is not, running on your system relative to a previous point in time.
Has a search box to quickly find processes you are looking for.
Has CPU a memory filters to watch for processes using all your system's resources.
Provides a slimmed down view of what files/internet connections an application has open.
Can export these graphical views to the graphviz DOT file format. This makes it available to other applications which support the DOT format such as graphviz and the Omni Group’s OmniGraffe version 5.
Has two security modes: privileged mode, and user mode to accommodate different security concerns.
